TOOLS TO IGNITE YOUR YOGA PRACTICE

About

I love teaching Yoga.

I think about it in every free moment.

It fills the space of my dreams.

There is nothing I would rather be doing.

A little dose of love and life comes from my heart to you! I never thought I would ever start a website, but I felt a pull to share some of the blessings and lessons I have learned along the way, while growing as a student of Yoga at the same time. Whether you are feeling lost in this world, are found, or are somewhere in between is of no consequence. Here I offer to you the sparks that can ignite any practice, but it is up to you to fuel your own fire, or as the Yogis of the Himalayas say, light thy own lamp.

From health and nutrition, to asana, to pranayama, to my own personal adventures, imbibe what you like and leave the rest. Everyone has a flame residing deep within them – open yourself up to the subtleties of the inner Self!

In Yoga, we cultivate abhyasa, continuous devotion to our practice, and vairagya, non-attachment to the things of this world.

As Swami Rama of the Himalayas once said, you must find the joy in pain. Only then can you go beyond the duality of pain and suffering, happiness and joy. This life is but a drop in the bucket! Death is as much a beginning as life…

About Me:

I owe everything to my Guru Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. And am completely grateful to my teachers at the Himalayan Institute: Rolf Sovik, Sandy Anderson, and Shari Friedrichsen.

I am initiated and trained in the living tantric lineage of the Himalayan Sages. In my worldly life, I am pursuing my MSW and MPH while serving as a public health researcher and trauma therapist to children.
